Half way done with September

oh wow... so where has the time gone! September is almost half way done! School has been going great!!! Busy but great I love my school that i'm at and the people i work with, i couldn't have asked for a better group of women! Right now i have 5 kids in the morning class and 8 in the afternoon. They definitely keep me and my aide Dot on our toes! So lets see what has happened since school has started....

*Got most of the big items of the wedding planned photographer, DJ, Florist, Location/Food, Dress for me

*Still need Bridesmaid dresses and accessories, cake, save the dates and all the other details but we   are pretty good on all that to! 

* My school has this great thing our gym teacher does called "Fit to Teach" i believe. Every monday and thursday we can go to the gym and work out! It's great it's convienent and you can do it before you go home and just want to crash!!

*Tonight was my first rehearsal for the Allen Symphony Chorus. There are about 50 members and i've missed singing so much! It's great to be part of a choir again!!!

Busy August

August has been such a crazy month! My mom came the first week in august and we had a blast!!! It was so nice to spend time with just her.. we never get that! The first day was wedding dress day! we went and looked a few places and ended up falling in love with one from David's bridal and we bought it!!!! I can't believe i have my wedding dress!! The next 2 days were spent in my classroom... 8 hours each day... oh and did i mention there was no air conditioning and it was around 105? yea just a little hot! but we got alot done, she was such a huge help! The last day she was here we just had fun! we went shopping and to lunch and just had girl time! It was so great to be with her. 

After my mom left the next 2 weeks were spent in new teacher training classes, finishing my classroom and back to school activities! I spent alot of time in my room but it was worth it! Meet the teacher was this past week and it went great! I met my students and their parents and i'm so excited for the coming year! School starts on monday and i'm not nervous just anxious! 

Thank you again to my mom for all her hard work in my classroom! I still can't believe i'm about to FINALLY start my first real year of  teaching!!!

Wedding Website

Our wedding website is underway. It's pretty much complete with all the information we have so far! It's been so much fun planning all the basics!! We have our DJ, (same one my sister used) our florist, our ceremony and reception location and are still working on a photographer! We are for sure doing royal blue and yellow for the wedding and i'm so excited! It's going to be beautiful! Casual, Elegant and fun!!

My Classroom

So i got to go into my classroom finally!!! I'm so excited to have my own room... wait i'm just excited to have a real teaching job!!! I will be teaching at Kerr Elementary in Allen ISD. I am teaching the PPCD class which stands for Pre School Program for Children with Disabilities. I'm so excited to start getting stuff on the walls but first i have to clean and organize!!I'm trying to get as much organizing done before my mom comes August 1st to help me set up and do some wedding planning!!!! I'm Blessed

So, I'm doing my scrapbook and realizing what an amazing year 2010 has been... first off January 1st, We won a brand new grill from Fox Sports Grill at Midnight on new years, April 15th I got engaged to the most amazing man that i have had the honor of being with for 4 1/2 years, 2 weeks later, May 1st my big sister gets married, 2 weeks after that I got a teaching job and in a month my mom comes to help me set up my first classroom and go wedding dress shopping.... i love my life, my family and my friends and i feel so blessed! Thank you for everyone in my life! I love you all and can't wait to see what the rest of the year may bring!!

Wedding Date!!

Jake and I set our Wedding Date! We are getting Married June 18th, 2011 at Arizona Country Club in Scottsdale Arizona! Our colors are going to be Yellow and Blue, not exactly sure what shade of blue yet.... but blue! More details to come :)

Summer

Summer time is here! Since i'm not teaching till august i'm teaching with Drama Kids right now. We have camps every week for about 4 hours a day! I love my job it's so much fun! Jake is still teaching guitar with Music and Arts but recently (like 2 weeks ago) got weekends off!! for the past year and a half he has taught every Saturday and Sunday 10-5.... it has sucked :) Not being able to go anywhere on the weekends has been hard since they are my only days off. Since he has gotten the weekends off we were able to go to Austin to visit his parents and go to "McKinney Trade Days" it's a HUGE outdoor flea market! It was so fun! Hot... but fun. I've lived here in Texas for a year and 1 month now and I have my likes and dislikes. Likes: I love how all the kids say "yes mam" or "no mam" and the people just have that southern charm! Also getting this teaching job makes me LOVE Texas ha ha! The only thing I really miss about Arizona (except for my family of course) is the scenery. I never really understood why Scottsdale was so pretty, now i do. I miss looking out at the mountains and the cactus. It's so flat here! But I must say I love all the green tree's here! Yes I have caught myself saying "y'all" and you know what the kids respond to it more! If I say " you all need to sit down" they are like ok right Miss Erin, but if I say "y'all need to sit down!" they listen! It's great! 

Over all Texas has been a hard but good move. I'm with the love of my life, we have a great apartment, I GOT A JOB!!!!, we are going to be able to save some money and hopefully get into a house, and i've met some great people! Arizona will always be my home but i'm happy being a Texas girl!

Drama Kids

I have been blessed to be apart of a wonderful organization called Drama Kids International where I have been able to combine my love of theater and teaching. On Saturday we had 16 performances!!! Long day but a wonderful day! Here are some pictures I took of my kiddo's!

JOB!!!!!

You heard it right I got a job for next year!!! I will be teaching the PPCD class which is the Pre School Program for Children with Disabilities class for Allen ISD. I'm so excited!!!! My mom said she was going to fly out to Texas to help me set up my room so I'm also SO excited for that too!!!!

Playing Catch Up

So I signed up for this blog a while ago but never really got to start it. So here it goes to catch yall up on whats happened so far!

April 15th Engagement

First off Jake and I have been dating for almost 4 1/2 years now! We got engaged on April 15th of this year! It was a belated birthday present he told me because the ring didn't come in on time for my birthday!!! People have been asking how he did it.....

I came home from working a 13 hour day and was a little.... shall we say stressed. I sat on the couch in our apartment and was talking to him about my day and he said, I think I can make your day better, he then got on one knee and pulled out the ring!!! he said "Erin Elizabeth Hibler, will you be my wife, my partner and my best friend" My exact words were "are you kidding me?" I thought he was joking!!!! He was for real!!! It was perfect! Relaxing at home just he and I, it was the perfect way for him to do it for he and I!!!

April 29-May 2nd Lowman Wedding Weekend

Jake and I flew out to Arizona for my sisters wedding!!!!! It was such an amazing time! From the Bachelorette Party, the rehearsal dinner, getting dressed, the ceremony and the reception! It was a great weekend, it just went by to fast! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend!!!
