Catch Up and Wedding Post!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated!!  a few BIG changes have happened!

1) We closed on our first home! I is perfect for us and I can't wait to move in! August 27th is Moving Day! Anyone want to help?!

2) I finished my first official year of teaching! I loved it! I had an amazing support system from my aide, special education team and my whole school!!!

3) WE GOT MARRIED!!!!! That's right... after 5 1/2 years Jacob and I tied the knot on June 18th! We started off the trip by going to Las Vegas!

WE DID IT!!

It was an amazing day i will never forget. It was all I could have asked for and all I have dreamed of! Thank you to everyone who made it possible!!!

40 days to go!!!!

I can't believe it... 40 days until the wedding!! yay!!! However, alot has to happen until then.

Today May 9th... first off it's hard to believe that 2 years ago today I officially graduated from college, and on May 11th i started the drive out to Texas. Instead, today i was thrown a bridal shower at my school!!! The special education team put the shower on and it was great! I am so blessed to be at the school i'm at, i fit right in and we all make a great team!!

May 27th, we close on our house!!! I can't believe it... we are buying a house! I'm so excited! We don't move in until end of August though. The couple that own it now are building a house and are going to be renting it back from us until their's is done mid august.

June 4th, Last day of school. I will be finishing my first year of teaching! Some good news is that i will also be getting a 2nd class at my elementary school! I'm really excited to be at the school all day now. I really like being with my kiddo's at the day care... but i'm excited to have 2 classes of my own.

June 11th, leave for AZ!!! my friend Jenna and I fly out on saturday afternoon while the boys leave EARLY saturday morning and drive the 17 hours to Arizona.
June 12-14 Vegas!!!
June 16- Bachelorette Party and Jake's Bachelor Party
June 17- Rehersal and Rehersal Dinner
June 18- I get to marry my best friend!!!
June 20- Leave for Maui!

We've got an exciting 6 weeks ahead of us!!!!!! :)

New Home :) Hopefully!!!

That's right you read right Jake and I are under contract on our first home! We are in the "option" period right now and had the inspection today. We we hopefully sign the contract at the end of May!!!! We will not be moving in however until the end of August. The couple are building a new home that will be done in August so they will be leasing it back from us until it is done, or until the end of August :) We are so excited!!!!!

April 15th 2010

A year ago today my life changed for the better. After dating for 4 1/2 years the man of my dreams proposed to me.

*These were taken RIGHT after he proposed... i had no make-up on and had been having a rough day, he said to me "I think i can make it better" and oh did he!!!! This is me and then him calling his parents!

This year has been amazing... and busy

In the next 2 months I will having alot of "firsts"

1) I will be finishing my first year of teaching

2) i will be getting married

3) Jake and i will be buying our first home

3 HUGE things... all in the next 2 months, and i can't wait!!!  

I have dated Jacob for almost 5 1/2 years and we are very ready to take the next step!!!!

Who Am I?

I am- a teacher, a daughter, a Fiance and a Friend

I want- to teach the world that a disability does not define who a person is

I have- been so blessed to find the love of my life!

I wish- we had a home to call our own

I hate- waking up early :)

I fear- losing my loved ones

I hear- Jacob playing the guitar

I search- for new craft idea's and new healthy quick meals to cook

I wonder- what it will be like to become a mother some day

I regret- being so immature in high school and not getting the most out of it

I love- when it rains and snows!

I ache- when i see others hurting and i can't do anything to help

I always- kiss Jacob goodbye and tell him i love him, even if i'm only going to run errands

I usually- give hugs whenever i can!

I am not- a reader. I wish i liked to read more!

I dance- all the time in my classroom! My kids think i'm nuts and i love it!

I sing- in my classroom, in my car but not very much at home or infront of people, I get shy!

I never- put myself first. This is good and bad i guess

I sometimes- want to be crafty! I want to learn how to sew!

I cry- when I get really frustrated or upset

I am not always- spontaneous. I like to plan stuff out!

I lose- my phone and keys all the time!

I am confused- alot :)

I need- a nap after a long stressful day!

I should- be better about going to the gym more

 

** A few of my friends started this... and encouraged me to take a few minutes and make one. It really makes you stop and think... I now encourage you to take some time and ask yourself these questions :)

Catch Up

I have been awful about keeping up on this Blog but here we go, lets catch up!!

Halloween was great! We spent it here in Allen with friends! Jake and I dressed up as a married couple (his idea) We found these two huge "ball and chains" and dressed up like we were getting married!

Thanksgiving was spend down in Wimberley Texas with Jake's family. We also celebrated his sister Kaitlyn's 18th birthday! It's a tradition in the Hibler household that at 18 we got a ring. I wanted to continue this tradition so Jake and i got Kaitlyn a beautiful ring for her birthday! I also took some pictures of her and Jake for a Christmas gift for their parents!

Christmas we went home to Arizona! This was the first time we had been back in 7 months!!! Jake and i drove the 18 hours out there with 2 cats! They did really good but we were all a little stir crazy toward the end! First thing to do in AZ was to get some wedding plans out of the way. While we were there we picked out the cake, did the food tasting for the reception, got a block of rooms at a hotel, found a rehearsal dinner location and picked out the brides maid dresses! oh yea and picked out the invitations and save the dates and did engagement photo's! It was definitely a productive week!

Oh yea... Christmas was thrown in there too :)
